Microscopic bug with asymetrical mouth parts. One mandible is longer than the other and used to puncture out layer of plant to suck the sap. Hard to spot until damage is done. They will leave fecal matter on the leaves they feed on. Leaves will have streaks, silvery speckling and/or small white patches. Most destructive is the disease they can spread from plant to plant. Natural predators of thrips: pirate bugs, lacewings and ladybugs.
