This is a great low maintenance houseplant with shiny oval leaves that shoot straight up.  The leaves are dark green and slightly waxy, giving them an artificial appearance.  Plants grow relatively slow and prefer indirect light.  ZZ plants are toxic to humans and animals, so keep away from pets.  Plant in well drained soil.  It does well in straight coco coir.  Needs very little water, let dry out completely between watering.
